Keith was born in Estes Park, Colorado and shortly thereafter the family moved to West Virginia. He worked for EI Dupont Washington Works for 45 years, where he retired in January, 2008. Keith was an in-house eletrician for 22 years and for the last 23 years he applied his talents as a Control Systems Engineering technician. Basically design, program and install industrial computers that control many of our processes. Prior to working for Dupont He was at West Virginian University on a Gymnastic scholorship and then entered the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command with the first SAC wing to be placed in Amarillo, Texas. While in the Air Force he served with the SAC Security Police and was on the traveling Pistol & Rifle Team.

Keith's hobbies include fishing, camping, NASCAR racing and golf. Keith and his wife have been involved with Western Style Square Dancing for over 40 year and he's been a caller/Instructor for 36 years traveling throughout the USA to call for various festivals and clubs.

Keith's family consists of his lovely wife Karen of 51 years who does his square dance bookings and handles all the weekends they host per year. Karen and Keith have three children, Tami Sams, Keith Jr, and Michael. They have eight grandchildren ranging in age from 6 years to 25. Four boys and four girls.

Because of square dancing Keith and Karen have been able to visit 49 0f the 50 states, plus several countries outside of the USA. Although he love the greeness of West Virginia and it's beautiful mountains, Colorado, with its majestic snow covered peaks, will always be home!

They still traveling full time calling square dances. They love the activity and the people and many friends they have made over the many years. It's like a second family to them. They throughly love to get to know about others and watch the smiles as they enjoy one of the greatest activities in the world. As with Art, they feel many of the younger callers are their adopted children and have watched with pride as they have continued making a life of their own and making Keith and Karen proud for being a small part of it.
